- January 2004: Seven Italian newspapers award Leonardo “Angel of the Year” award in the sports category.

- June 2003: The French-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce gives the “LIF” award – Liberty, Equality and Fraternity- to the FAC Programme (TCR- Training of Community Representatives).

- December 2002: The Brazilian Association for Human Resources reward the Foundation with the "Essere Umano Oswaldo Checca".

- August 2002: The "Ethos Social Responsibility" Institute elect the duo Rai and Leonardo as one of the 20 Social Welfare Representatives of Brazil.

- December 2001: The Brazilian Education Academy award Rai and Leonardo the title of "Educators of the year 2000". Awarded for the very first time to two sportsmen.

- August 2001: The Foundation is recognised by UNESCO for its work.

- May 2001: The "Carlito Maia" Award is given to Rai by the Imprensa magazine.
